The Accountability Pledge

A public promise from candidates: I will serve the People — not the Machine.

If they break it, we hold them to it — with proof.

“I will serve the people of my district/state and defend the Constitution as written — not the permanent political machine.

Therefore I commit to:

1. Never vote for vague bills that delegate core legislative power to unelected bureaucrats — in direct violation of Article I, Section 1.

2. Work to restore simple majority rule in the Senate for ordinary legislation, as the Constitution requires, and oppose the 60-vote filibuster threshold for bills that passed the House.

3. If I materially break this pledge, I will resign from office and not seek re-election.”

Public, verifiable, and permanent. Signed pledges will be displayed with photo, date, and video statement when possible.

Why This Pledge Matters

The root problem is Congress itself:

  • House: Routinely gives away its constitutional lawmaking power to agencies.
  • Senate: Replaced majority rule with a 60-vote minority veto.

These two breaches created the machine. The Pledge directly attacks both.
